BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Dr Wan Idris Bin Wan Yaacob is a senior consultant of TST Consultants Sdn Bhd. He graduated in Chemistry in West Germany and Msc in Polymer Science in UK. He obtained his PhD in Rubber Technology from Loughborough University of Technology, UK.
Dr Wan joined Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia (RRIM) in 1973 and his last post appointed in RRIM was as leader of technical advisory group as well as tyre retreading.
In 1984, his joined KK Industries Sdn Bhd (KKI), as technical division manager and subsequently as manager of operations. In 1986 he was appointed as Chief Exercutive of an engineering company specialising in hydraulic hose couplings and other turned products.
His expertise include: rubber technology and tyre retreading; bitumen-based sealant and latex stimulation system; and manufacturing of machining parts and other turned products.
